A little bit about Matthew
With over 15 year experience in the insurance sector and 13 years at BBi, Matthew has established and developed a diverse range of contacts and connections in many areas and sectors around the world along with long standing, solid relationships with underwriters in the market.
Matthew has a key focus on business and product development, managing the sales and marketing functions and ensuring overall increased revenue and profit to achieve the groups ambitious growth; with this, he strives to identify new leads and opportunities whilst maintaining and developing relationships with existing clients.

What area of Insurance do you specialise in? What makes YOU the expert?
I act for all types of business with clients ranging from start-up and SME’s to PLC and international organisations. I also act for private high net worth UK and international individuals including professional sports persons and celebrities. I manage my clients insurance and risk management programmes worldwide, placing insurance covers with local and international capacity providers, offering global solutions with quality independent advice ensuring I am a trusted point of contact for themselves, their business and their assets.
How do you make a difference to your clients?
I believe being well established at one brokerage has demonstrated loyalty, trust and integrity and enabled me to secure strong, long term and in some cases exclusive commitment with partners in the insurance market which enable me to act for such a wide and diverse portfolio of clients.
I am able to control and facilitate all aspects of my clients corporate and personal insurances along with wealth management, financial protection and investment advice as well as risk management and high hazard, unusual or European or International placements.
How would you describe BBi?
BBi is one of the largest independent provincial brokers in the UK. We operate internationally and at Lloyd’s of London. Our network of offices, together with our partners and affiliates enables us to offer competitive premiums and quality advice in all business sectors, anywhere in the world.
We want to be viewed as our client’s internal insurance department and will add value to their organisation. We offer quality independent advice on all aspects of corporate and personal insurance, financial services, risk management and business continuity.
What achievement are you most proud of?
I am most proud of the diverse contacts I have made and relationships I have developed. Having worked with people around the world engaged in various sectors and professions all with different exposures and requirements, I am proud to say that there has been no risk for any client; that I via BBi, have been unable to source terms for.
